So. i was randomly depressed for the past few days. Still am, a bit, but I'm more okay now xD After rereading some of my real journal entries (omg! getting distracted! apir FAIL! getting hit by a branch! taking the bus just to be with me! SH open house 2009 xD)

4. Sleepover ban. NEED I SAY MORE? Basically my parents not allowing to sleep over anybody's house. EVER. because it's not part of our custom DAW. please. all the pinoy ppl ive asked so far are allowed to sleep overs (in which my dad reasons with "how about chinese?" and goes on about how strict my grandma was) I had a huge argument with them on wednesday, and I still lost. They're really firm on their position. *sigh* darn. (I would rant more, but this is not the post for it)

okay, so he went to the phils around June 20- coz he is the newly appointed ambassador of MTV's Staying Alive Foundation, an organization to support communities that have higher dangers of HIV/AIDS.

So Travie went to Africa, India, and THE PHILIPPINES. Oh gosh I dunno where to start. There's a blog for this, and I havent read all the Phil entries, so I shall flail while reading/watching.

Was there one particular moment or experience that really stuck out to
you
on the trip?

Being on the Kaybuboy Bridge [in Manila,
Phillipines]. It was a place
that wasn't on the itinerary and we didn't have
an objective to go to it. But I had heard about this bridge that 40 or 50
families were living under, and it was no more than four-and-a-half feet tall
and it was something I had to see. When we got done shooting what we needed to
in the Philippines, we went there and I actually got to see the conditions
people were living in. It took about ten minutes to walk from one side to the
other, but in those ten minutes, I saw all the diversity and conditions, and yet
the kids were smiling and happy to be alive.
I feel like I came out of there
a changed man. And I can kind of
relate that to the whole trip; the fact
that these kids are in such dire
situations as far as poverty goes, yet they
still have these huge smiles on
their faces, it kind of made me think. If I
had the power to steal laptops and internet and video games away from kids in
the U.S., how would they react? Could they appreciate life without the perks
that we're so lucky to have? I saw kids playing a game of soccer with a ball
that they had made with rolled up bread bags and rubber bands. It's just the
small things that mean so much to them. It's funny because I posted that
question on my blog and someone sent me this video of this kid whose mom
canceled his World Of Warcraft subscription, and the kid flipped out and looked
like he was having some type of seizure. It's just sad.

so yeah. wow. Travis. I now have a huge amount of renewed respect for him. (oh and it'd be awesome if he writes songs from these experiences, WICKED!)

Calm AFTER the Storm

For the first time in WEEKS I feel normal today. listening to the teacher, reading a book, not listening to the teacher, reading fanfiction during comp class (lol), *siiiiiigh* NORMAL.

And there's deadxstop. I used to be so sad that I don't talk to him much and all that but now...I've just come to appreciate time I spend with him o.O "What happened to Tabier???" So today I had a cold. I decided to take a nap after school. Who knew that sleeping with a cold just gave me THE MOST AWESOMEST EPIC TABIER DREAM. EVER?!?

so yeah since spring na yung mga katambay ko sa labas na tumatambay. somehow sumasayaw kaming nakaakbay-akbay tpos sumama si deadxstop sa tabi ko xDD weeee!! TWICE! HA! xD may deadxstop na saya ko pa! awww xD

k so ive already heard of this contest on TV called Karaoke Star Jr for ages I dunno 9 maybe to 15. Just when I checked out the site that's the day the auditions were being held here in Edmonton. i could have thrown a tantrum and gone audition in West Edmonton Mall I KNOW I HAVE A CHANCE but i didnt.

now my lil bro is watching that show and i am a combination of wanting to watch that show and NOT watching that show coz that couldve been ME.

aaaah and here goes that feeling again with all that uncertainty; where is my life headed? i dont know. what am i good at. I DONT KNOW. i dont feel like im good at anything right now. it happens sometimes.

So a while ago was the Marianas Trench concert, it was awesome :D:D:D

So me and my dad arrived 30mins early and there's already a long line (LOL for the line blocking the passageway into a parking lot xDD) and the entrance to the venue was through this narrow alley, and at the spur of the moment I took out my sharpie and wrote "marianas trench 4/4/09 ♥" on the cement wall xD coz one time I saw a pic in William Beckett's blog with those kindsa things xD

and so we went to the merch stand. It was actually Matt and Mike running the merch stand, but I didnt get their autograph xD (somehow I'm having trouble realizing that there are famous people in front of me o.o semi-famous but who cares theyre dudes in a band) I actually like the fact that theyre running their own merch stand. I wonder if they'll still do that when they get big? Probably not, but still I think it does give the fans a feel of closeness (or maybe coz the venue is small, waaay smaller than the place SP did a concert here)

I bought a TShirt (hoodie is expensive T_T) and a pack that has an album sticker (partly stuck onto my journal :D), a chapstick (cherry, i tried it on but i dont think i like it, but I'll keep it as a keepsake/remembrance), 2 button pins (YAY BUTTON PINS YES one's in my lil cat denim pouch that I took with me last time to the SP cocert), and 2 temporary tattoos (oh I forgot to buy a poster dang!)

So I went down to the front of the stage. There were already lotsa people there, but I'm okay with it (my only trouble throughout the concert is that when there are tall people in front of me x_x) I was close enough to see the band clearly, but too far to touch them when they reach out their hands and stuff

First act was Carly Rae Jepson. She was good. But I dont know any of her songs ^_^; I think it's too mellow for me xD

Next was Shiloh. (lol i remember deadxstop getting operator stuck to his head) She's goooood. She really rocks. And in the middle of her set, at the start of the next song, the drummer started doing this beat that sounds so similar to this song I know very very well...it's because it IS that song. Holy spatula she covered SUGAR WE'RE GOING DOWN!!! omg omg yaaaaaaay! I sang my heart out the whole way, even some of the other kids, in which I am happy for :D I think I just liked Shiloh a little more.

And of course Marianas Trench themselves. I got pushed around in the moshpit x____x but thankfully no crowdsurfers o.O The show was still awesome. Thank goodness they didnt play any song I didnt know that well xP And so many girls love Josh so much xD I used to like him too, he caught my attention on VOT (actually I think it's his hair xD) I still like him, but so many people like him and I tend to go on a less crowded fanbase (see: My Love For Patrick Stump And Not Pete Wentz) I was a bit to the right, so Mike was in front of me and Matt is farther away (*sadface* but I like Mike too, so yeah xD)

And I worked my way through the crowd to get them to sign my album sleeve :D I got Mike's, Josh's, and LOL for me asking Mike to get Matt to sign it coz he's on the other side (again!? wth is this like a fixed lineup position or something xD i hate fate) Ian wasn't there, even when I asked Mike about it :( (then while on the way home I just remembered the band talking about how Ian had a migraine that morning and he's still playing for us I was like "IM SO STUPID!!!!" I just added them on Myspace wishing him well soon o.o) I hung around and waited for him (me to my dad: xD tinititigan ko pa sila! wahahah xD) but he didnt show up *sigh* sayang kumpleto na sana mga autograph. don't worry. NEXT TIME!!!

Warped Tour. I hate you. But you are a significant part of bandom canon. Without you Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance would have never met. And you only always stop at Calgary and never Edmonton. *sigh*

But this year's line up is...well, not my type. 3OH!3's there, and some other bands I know other people love but I havent heard their music yet. Oh look Lights is gonna be on Warped Tour ooooh :D I like her. ;D

That's why I don't know if it's gonna be worth it bugging my parents take a looong bus ride to Calgary only to see bands I only halfheartedly love. No seriously lahat ng gusto last year nawala na, TAI, CS, GCH, kahit ATL at WTK wala na rin T___T maybe I should listen to other stuff now.

so today my mom has no work so we decided to go to the mall. I HAZ A NEW HAIRCUT!!! and I look FABULOUS xD I'm so happy on how it turned out, I was worried for a time, but yeah it's shorter, with layers and even my lil bro says I look younger (which so fits my chibi hyper personality sometimes xD)

and we also bought shoes (SHOES! xD) kasi sira na. I bought these awesome black sneakers that has a graffiti design but now that I tried it again at home...parang ang laki masyado xD (random bandom: I saw a bag saying "I ♥ SHOES" and I instantly thought of Spencer. And Pete xD) My family also bought DVDs from HMV and I bought Want by 3OH!3 and Fix Me by Marianas Trench (finally! SHAKE TRAMP! xD) and also the latest AP ish.

and I changed the music again. It's Celebrity Status by Marianas Trench. I wanted to put Acadia but I also want something upbeat to match my mood :D

and also, LOL I do influence many people. My lil bro likes Haru Haru by Big Bang and someone should've videotaped us headbobbing to it xD

Wednesday: happy EDSA revolution day! immunizations (which I dont have to take coz I already took it bago kami pumunta dito xD and you cant have too much vaccine) buy MT album, and that days's Ash Wednesday and we'll be attending mass at 7PM and we'll be buying Rockband 2 after that :D
thursday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLENE!!!! OMG SWEET 16 FOR YOU!! wake up and go to mass again with lil bro on 9AM after that...ROCK OUT WITH ROCKBAND 2!!!
friday: ROCK OUT, update stories, maybe tweak the storyblog more (better yet finish the layout na xD)
saturday and sunday: yeah do random stuff, read fanfics, LOL at AUs and crack, not have a life.

so instead of reading fics, im checking out posts on bigbangwtf, a support community for bandombigbang. usually it's a beta offering service or an author searching for a beta. im not interested in that but im interested on what plots theyre gonna be writing. seeing all these ideas and plot bunnies, i dont feel like I'm the only one that has weird ideas all the time XD

I AM FUCKING PISSED RIGHT NOW.

Including last night:
1. i had a down mood swing attack from the IB info night in M.E. because of the looming prospect of senior high last night and did some stupid things that made my mom shout at me. cried myself to sleep. i felt better but still not fully well today.
2. because of that I totally forgot that today was the freeze day and I didnt get to do it. No big deal, but I really wanted to do it, too. *insert profanities here*
3. im now getting depressed and worried that im never going to get my part of the SS project properly done. id like to think words flow out better when I type, so I typed what I can within 30mins (or less) a while ago and typed more than what ive written in 40mins in social class today. now I just have to print this thing and edit it here and there by pen tomorrow but IT WONT FUCKING PRINT. STUPID CONNECTION BLAH BLAHS!
4. oh hey and DONT FORGET (like the freeze day) that we have a social test AND a LA writing exam on tuesday (effin business letters! a chance to be direct but make sure it's still long! *insert yet more profanities*), which is also the day Marianas Trench performs on MuchMusic and release their new album. (remind me to get to listen to the stream on the Much site) oh well i wouldnt have to worry about that till after the weekend, when I HAVE TO GET MY SS PROJECT DONE BEFORE IT'S OVER.

okay, back to this minicrackfic that came out of watching the concert footage in DVD performed at Denver in Nov. 2006 xD

to make this clear: at the start of Nails For Breakfast, Tacks for Snacks, Jon and brendon played in front of each other (actually Brendon didnt but who cares they were facing each other xD) and Jon looked...uncomfortable. Later on in another song Ryan and Jon played in front of each other in the middle of the stage xD

Hi! I'm currently reading the Original Warriors Series Book 3: The Forest of Secrets. And I'm getting so hooked xD I visited the website (careful to not stare at too many spoilers) and LOL look there's a which Clan you should be in and what should be your warrior name. The Clan one has a test and LOL I'm in ShadowClan (ambitious, proud and independent!?) but the warrior name is almost completely random you enter your name and hometown and guess what I got? BRIGHTNOSE. hahah. no, please, i dont want any name with 'nose' in it, thank you xD (though the joke on RunningNose being Shadowclan medicine cat still makes me laugh right now)

But still I cant help but notice the similarities between Warriors and Harry Potter *sees people rolling their eyes* come on! Rusty/Firepaw/Fireheart was once a kittypet but became a warrior, just like Harry Potter being a wizard. The 'party song': a party song they wrote at a party...LOL. I didnt know that. The other fans did. (Pierre: Yeah with the internet...[...] sh*t travels really fast these days xD)

SAD STUFF: Besides the hoodie being too fit, I didnt get an autograph or anything (we did get a poster for $10 and 3 large B&W pics for free :D) and I didnt manage to greet Jeff or David belated Happy Birthday (Jeff was on aug 22 and David was on 29) and worst of all, they didnt sing I CAN WAIT FOREVER. It's like, the really good song that gives me shivers for no particular reason, oh and also the song that has Pierre and David strumming their guitars in front of each other at the end (in other words, PxD sweetness T__T there's almost none in this concert!!)

Then usually the bands would throw open bottles of water at the people on the floor (...am i lucky im not on the floor?)

So, all in all, lotsa merch, none signed, didnt meet the band in person, in almost every SP song I was standing up, my dad actually liked them coz theyre still melodic despite being rock and they have slower songs (UNTITLED! ^_^) Random:

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN ROSS!!!

So yeah all the time I was in XSCargo I was saying "pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssseeee" to my parents (I actually reminded myself of Tabier somehow xD I miss him xD) and they finally let me buy an acoustic guitar!! (Rll wants an electric, but it's too expensive xP and I told him kapag matanda na sya xD)

So right now my fingers are sore...xD

I'm going to try to not get too into the DD-and related bandom stuff this week and more on SP (I put them on the top 4 yet theyre the ones I know least about/read the least fanfics :-/) But as I'm reading this fanfic, I dont think it's a good idea...kasi when I watch them on Friday all that's in my head is gonna be things they did in FICTION WORLD, that is xD

So I've decided, no SP fics (esp. slash), no DD-and related fics either. How about them funny vids in Youtube? Yay! xD

I've finished reading this book Careful What You Wish For by Lucy Finn. It was a book my mom was reading, nakwento nya samin a bit, and I decided to read it too xD PG-13, warning lang. But it's really good!

I found my old xanga again xD check out my taste in music then. the last update was Dec 2006...I just posted today...I'm thinking of recycling it as a rec or like a memories blog for fics I find in LJ and stuff...the Mt.
